2nd arrest made in fentanyl drug death

A second arrest has been made in the overdose death of a 17-year-old Eunice man. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot reported Donna G. Granger, 42, of 100 block of E. Ardoin St., Eunice, was arrested Sept. 30 and charged with second-degree murder.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s arrests

The following are arrests from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office. September 30 Jameel Javurrea Offord, 19, 300 block of Jess Bergeron Road, Opelousas. Principal to theft, illegal possession of stolen firearms, attempted simple burglary. Arrested by Washington Police.
A St. Landry Parish school bus was reportedly struck from behind by a tow truck at about 3 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 190 near Rozena Road west of Lawtell. News reports stated St. Landry Parish School Superintendent Patrick Jenkins said at least four students were taken to a hospital and none faced life-threatening injuries.
