The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. July 29 David Wayne Byrd, 46, 10400 block of Prejean Street, Arnaudville. Bench warrant. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Jayme Alexander Pierre, 22, 500 block of Perry Lane, Opelousas.

Armed robber in Rayne sought

The following information is a release for the media regarding information distributed by Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish. Rayne Police detectives are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at the People’s Credit Union, located at 904 E. Texas Ave. This incident occurred at about 1 p.m.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. July 27 Andy Fontenot, 53, 100 block of North 8th Street, Eunice. Reckless operation of a vehicle, hit and run, no insurance, driver’s license suspension/revocation and no license plate. Thomas Aaron Glass,39, 700 block of Simar Street, Iota.

Acadia Parish Police Jury asks for help locating missing signs

The Acadia Parish Police Jury reports an increase in stop signs, yield signs, 911 signs, and other traffic signs being stolen from public areas within the parish. The Police Jury stated that at least three stop signs have been stolen within the past month.
