Trooper injured in St. Landry Parish crash 

On Wednesday, shortly before 6:00 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating a serious injury crash involving a Trooper on La. 190 at the intersection with La. 104.    Preliminary information reveals the trooper was investigating a prior crash when they were struck by a vehicle.
The Eunice Fire Department, along with St. Landry District 6, responded to a structure fire on Saturday at 1871 W. Magnolia Ave., Eunice. Eunice Fire Chief Chaise Brown said, “The initial call was received at 9:24 p.m. Responding crews reported smoke in the area but no flame visible.”   Firefighters arrived at 9:29 p.m. and found the fire in a small structure near the back of the property.
