Ville Platte Gazette The Mamou Police Department’s night began with a Toys for Tots fundraiser, but it ended with a high speed car chase at 100 miles per hour through the city limits on Nov. 22.

Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs help solving burglary in Church Point

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a residential burglary, which occurred in the 1200 block of Castille Highway in Church Point sometime between Nov. 23 and Nov. 27. Forced entry was made into the home through the rear door, and once inside unknown suspects stole a 55” plasma TV.

Eunice man accused of molesting girl, 7

A 32-year-old Eunice man, Clifton J. Johnson, has been arrested for molesting  a 7-year-old girl, according to a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. Johnson, of the 700 block of Lewis street, is accused of assaulting the girl on two separate occasions.
