About 1,400 state prisoners will be released on Nov. 1 as a part of a move to reduce the state’s prison population by 40 percent.

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
June 12

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s substation in Eunice is not closing, Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said.
Guidoz explained that four dispatchers who had worked at the station were transferred to the Opelousas office to save money.
