Louisiana state income tax filing and payment deadline is Monday

The filing and payment deadline for 2022 Louisiana state individual income tax is Monday. Taxpayers can file their returns electronically through Louisiana File Online, the state’s free web portal for individual tax filers.

A bill that would have added exceptions to Louisiana’s abortion ban for cases of rape and incest was rejected Wednesday by the House Criminal Justice Committee. After hours of emotional testimony on both sides of the issue, lawmakers shot down the measure in a 10-5 vote, marking another blow to Gov.

Root rot disease creeping up in Louisiana lawns

LSU AgCenter plant doctor Raj Singh says homeowners around the state are beginning to see an increase in take-all patch, also known as take-all root rot. The disease is caused by the soilborne fungus Gaeumannomyces graminis var. graminis (Ggg).
