LSU combines studies to benefit coastal communities

With support from the National Academy of Sciences, LSU will build a new undergraduate research and creative works program focused on supporting people, ecosystems and industries in and around the Gulf of Mexico.

Louisiana French language news magazine coming to LPB

Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) is teaming up with Télé-Louisiane to bring viewers La Veillée, a new 15-minute long weekly look at the happenings, culture, and people of Louisiana’s French language speaking population – all told in Louisiana French. The series premieres at 8:45 p.m.

As is the tradition to mark the opening of the judicial year, Louisiana judges gathered this morning for the 70th annual Red Mass at St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square. Red Mass is held annually on the first Monday in October. Archbishop Gregory M.

Hollier, Osborn named as UL Lafayette’s Outstanding Alumni

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Alumni Association has recognized Dr. Amelie A. Hollier and Harold G. Osborn III with the 2022 Outstanding Alumni Award. Hollier and Osborn received their awards during a reception held on Sept. 29 at the UL Lafayette Alumni Center.

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is among the top 443 colleges and universities in the nation. That’s according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-2023 edition of “Best Colleges.” The annual guidebook was released Monday.
