Eunice budget

Budget bomb fizzles

What promised to be an explosive meeting on the Eunice budget passed quietly, but the controversy promises to continue. The city’s budget for fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, passed the Board of Alderman with comment coming only from Mayor Scott Fontenot.

City budget approved

A budget little changed from the current one was approved by aldermen at Tuesday’s city meeting. In a budget message, Mayor Scott Fontenot stated that revenues would remain about $11.1 million — the same as the current year. The city’s budget year is from July through June.

Budget is on city agenda

The city’s next budget and amending its present budget are on the agenda for the Eunice Board of Aldermen’s meeting Tuesday. Hearings on the budgets are scheduled at 6:15 p.m. in the second floor meeting room to be followed by the regular meeting at 6:30 p.m.
