Eunice man accused of torching house to cover burglary

A 40-year-old Eunice man, Corey Darnell Jones, faces multiple charges in connection with the burglary and arson of a residence at 141 S. Aymond St., Eunice, on Tuesday.

Arson, burglary discovered

A house fire at 141 South Aymond is being investigated as a burglary turned into an arson, according to Brandt Thompson, state Fire Marshal deputy chief. The fire was reported at 1:39 p.m. Tuesday and by 3:59 Fire Chief Mike Arnold was contacted that it was possible arson and burglary.

Eunice woman accused of arson

A 40-year-old Eunice woman was charged with simple arson by the State Fire Marshal after a house at 311 North Cane St. burned about 1 a.m. Sunday. Adrienne Sherrell Guillory was arrested Monday in connection with the fire at the house she was renting, Deputy Chief Fire Marshal Brandt Thompson said.
