DeVillier, Laperouse exchange vows during evening ceremony

Miss Randi Kaye (Kaye Kaye) DeVillier and Mr. Philip Royce Laperouse became husband and wife during a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, Oct. 27, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.
Pastor Louis Richard officiated the Holy Matrimony with assistance from visiting priests, Rev. Cedric Sonnier and Rev. Clinton Sensat.
The bride is the daughter of Kim and Blaine DeVillier. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth LeJeune and Mr. and Mrs. Tanny DeVillier, all of Eunice.
Randi Kaye is a 2010 graduate of Eunice High School, a 2012 graduate of LSU Eunice, and a 2014 graduate of LSU in Baton Rouge with a bachelor degree in biological sciences and minor in chemistry. She is self-employed as an Independent Market Director.
The groom is the son of Thomas and Margaret Laperouse. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Royce Frederick and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Laperouse, Sr., all of Abbeville.
Philip is a 2006 graduate of Abbeville High School and a 2011 graduate of UL Lafayette with a bachelor degree in Industrial Technology. He is now living in Beaumont, Texas and employed by Coastal Chemical.
The lectors were Nicholas Hebert, cousin of the groom, and Josie Jones, friend of the bride. The Gift Bearers were Phillip and Lisa DeVillier with their children Savannah, Jillian, and Cooper, family of the bride. The program attendants were Krislyn Williams, cousin of the bride, and Carla Fredrick, cousin of the groom.
The bride wore an ivory beading and lace over ivory lavish satin essense of Australia dress from Bustle in Baton Rouge. She was accessorized with a custom made veil made with love by the bride’s aunt, Tara Leonards DeVillier.
Raven DeVillier Lavergne of Eunice, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Simone Quirk, Emily Turner, Chelsea Sattler, Blaire Fontenot, all of Eunice; Katie Monteaux of Maurice, Taylor Thibodeaux of Iota, Allison Comeaux of Ville Platte, all friends of the bride. Lola Frederick of California, godchild of the groom, and Brylee Mae Lavergne of Eunice, niece of the bride, served as the flower girls. Brylee Mae wore a 50-year-old handmade dress by the bride’s late great grandmother, Estella LaFleur.
The attendants wore dark green dresses, while carrying flowers. The bride’s bouquet included a handkerchief from her late great-grandmother, Edna Mae Manuel, and a rosary from her late great-grandmother, Estella LaFleur.
Mitchell Laperouse of Abbeville, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Brad Thibodeaux and Shane Hardy of Beaumont, Texas; Kenneth Hardy, Jacob Fleming, Kyle Baudoin, all friends of the groom; Keith Broussard of Abbeville, cousin of the groom, Dustin Lavergne of Eunice, brother-in-law of the bride, and Mason Lavergne of Eunice, godchild of the bride, served as the ring bearer.
The ushers were Zac Person of Eunice, cousin of the bride, and Edmond Laperouse of Abbeville, godfather of the groom.
The reception was held at Magdalen Place following the Holy Matrimony.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Caldwell House in Abbeville hosted by the groom’s parents.
The couple took a honeymoon to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
The couple will reside in Beaumont, Texas.
