Heinen, Fontenot exchange vows during evening ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice was the setting for the evening ceremony uniting Victoria Anne Heinen and Wesley Tate Fontenot in Holy Matrimony.
The Nuptial Mass, evening ceremony was held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Harrington, and Rev. Matthew Higginbotham officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Monty and Tiffani Heinen of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Fontenot and the late Valarie Fontenot.
Vocalists for the ceremony were Dawn and Chad Boudreaux, along with musicians Vermilion String Quartet. The church lectors were Andee Fontenot, Tyler Powell, and Stephanie Fontenot. Andee Fontenot read the scriptural readings during the ceremony.
The gift bearers were Dylan Scully, and Heather Manuel.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in a gown customized to reflect her unique vision. The gown featured delicate ivory lace which wrapped the bodice and formed into a v-shaped neckline. A richly embellished scalloped belt accented the natural waist and transitioned effortlessly into the structured A-line skirt made of luxe reena mikada. Covered buttons cascaded throughout the semi-cathedral train.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of champagne, cream and dusty lilac roses, burgundy dahlias, brunia and privet berries, and assorted eucalyptus with touches of soft wine astilbe filler.
Serving as matrons of honor were Elizabeth Heinen Person of Shreveport and Lauren Heinen Theriot of Shreveport, both sisters of the bride.
Serving as maid of honor was Anna Claire Heinen of Eunice, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Andre Fontenot, Blaire Fontenot, both of Ville Platte, sisters of the groom; Paige Duplichain of Baton Rouge, Victoria Andrus of Baton Rouge, both friends of the bride; Jami LeBouef and Jada Fontenot, both of Eunice, friends of the bride; and junior bridesmaids were Isabella Heinen and Caroline Heinen, both of Eunice, sisters of the bride.
The attendants wore burgundy v-neck silk gowns with a fitted waist line and pockets.
The attendants carried similar bouquets as the brides in champagne, wine, and dusty rose tones accented with soft eucalyptus greens and filler.
Serving as the flower girl was Maria Heinen, sister of the bride, daughter of Dr. Monty and Tiffani Heinen.
Serving as ring bearer was Thomas Fontenot of Ville Platte, son of Brad and Andre Fontenot.
Serving as best man was Mason Deshotel of Baton Rouge, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen were Brad Fontenot, Derek Fontenot, Caleb Fontenot, all of Ville Platte, brothers of the groom; Chris Vidrine, Ben Johnson, Landon Zeringue Landon Fontenot, and Blane Coreil, all of Baton Rouge, friends of the groom.
The groomsmen wore dark grey suits.
Ushers for the ceremony were Tyler Theriot of Shreveport, Zachary Person of Shreveport, Connor Fontenot of Baton Rouge and Patrick Donovan of Fort Polk.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at LaBelle Venue. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Jamacia and have made their home in Baton Rouge.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School, and plans to graduate in May from LSU in Baton Rouge with a bachelors of science in biology. She is a sorority member of Kappa Delta.
The groom is a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and plans to graduate in May from LSU Baton Rouge with a bachelors of science degree in Chemical Engineering.
