Le Barn Rouge ceremony joins couple in Holy Matrimony

The Le Barn Rouge in Lafayette was the setting for the evening outdoor double ring Christian ceremony uniting Andrea Marie Charlier and Caleb Scott Plunkett in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Saturday, March 25 at 6 p.m. with Sean Walker, Executive Pastor of The Bayou Church, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Lloyd and Cathe Manuel Charlier of Youngsville; and the groom is the son of David and Sheila Plunkett of Lafayette.
Ushers during the ceremony were Damion Johnson, Jr., and Alexander Manuel, both of Eunice.
The “Something Blue” ladies were Jeanne Aucoin of Eunice, JoAnna Aucoin of Austin, Texas, Lauren Aucoin of Eunice, Taylor Broussard of Lafayette, Lauren Fusilier of Lafayette, Mercades Graham of Opelousas, Amie Mathews of Lafayette, Brittany Montana of Opelousas, Ashley Brink of Lafayette, and Virginia Prejean of Youngsville.
The bride, given away by her father, was stunning in an ivory lace trumpet gown that featured a scalloped V-neckline designed by Oleg Cassini. The gown featured beading and sequin chantilly lace appliques at the bodice and skirting. The chapel train and mid-length mantilla style scalloped lace veil completed the wedding dress attire.
The bride carried a hand-tied rustic bouquet of ivory roses, mini ranunculus, and Rosemary and olive bushes. Her grandmother’s rosary and her mother’s lace handkerchief adorned the bouquet.
Serving as maid of honor was Emily Bergeron of Baton Rouge, long time friend of the bride.
Bridal attendants included Kacy Macaluso of New Orleans, Callie Blanchard of Lafayette, Lexi Hayob of Orlando, Florida, Mallory Chriceol of Lafayette, and serving as junior bridesmaid was Aubrey Charlier of Youngsville, sister of the bride.
The bridesmaids wore ballet pink crinkle chiffon floor-length dresses. The dress featured a one-shoulder neckline with a keyhole feature and a side-slit detail feature on the skirting. The bridesmaids wore their hair in an upswept chignon and carried hand-tied posy bouquets.
Serving as flower girls were Mary-Cathryn Meylian, daughter of Jerry and Heather Meylian of Arnaudville, and Ruth Taylor Menard, daughter of Peter and Natalie Menard of Arnaudville.
Serving as ring bearers were Owen Plunkett of Youngsville, son of the couple; and Slade Charlier of Youngsville, son of the bride’s brother, Alex Charlier and Adrienne Guerra of Youngsville.
The best man during the ceremony was David Plunkett of Lafayette, father of the groom.
Groomsmen included Alex Charlier of Youngsville, brother of the bride, Avery Charlier of Youngsville, brother of the bride; Peter Menard of Arnaudville, uncle of the groom, Daniel Chriceol of Lafayette, friend of the couple, and junior groomsman was Riley Plunkett of Lafayette, brother of the groom.
The groomsmen wore a classic suit in subtle tan hue. The suit featured a two-button jacket and matching flat-front slacks. A vest, pink bow-ties, rose boutonniere and brown leather shoes completed the attire. The groom wore the same suit with a pink tie.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony indoors at the Le Barn Rouge.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to a Caribbean resort in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. They have made their home in Youngsville.
The bride is a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. She was a member of the SOS orientation team. She is currently attending LSU grad school in pursuit of a masters degree in social work.
The groom is a graduate of Lafayette High School where he played soccer. He is currently working at Lourdes in Lafayette as a painter.
