Richard, Benoit wed during May evening ceremony

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice was the setting for the evening Nuptial Mass ceremony uniting Morgan Richard and Trace Paul Benoit in Holy Matrimony.
The ceremony was held on Friday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. with Reverends Randy Moreau, Ted Broussard Matt Hebert and Monsignor J. Robert Romero officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Wayne and Joan Richard of Eunice, and the groom is the son of Curtis and Katrina Benoit of Mermentau.
Vocalist and musician was Naomi Broussard. Church lectors were Cassie Boudreaux, godmother of the groom; and Dr. Randy Miller, uncle of the bride.
Gift bearers during the ceremony were children of Brad and Tonya Miller.
The bride, given away by her father, was radiant in a Mon Cheri gown of ivory champagne accented with lace and illusioned cap beaded sleeves. The gown featured a buttoned back with a train.
Her headpiece was a finger-tip veil of matching lace with a blusher.
The bride carried a cascade bouquet of hanging seeded eucalyptus, pale green antique hydrangeas accented with a mixture of pale blush garden roses, ranunculus, ocean song roses, peonies, and delicate greenery and pearl berries. Intertwined inside her bouquet was her late grandfather’s rosary.
Serving as matron of honor was Kelli Williams, sister of the bride, and her sister Kayla Fontenot served as maid of honor.
Bridal attendants included Peyton Miller of Crowley, Lani Vidrine of Eunice, Caroline Frey of Eunice, Blair Thibodeaux of Basile, all friends of the bride; Kalli Benoit of Mermentau, sister of the groom; and junior bridesmaid was Libbie Benoit of Mermentau, sister of the groom.
The attendants wore full-length taupe sateen gowns and carried bouquets of a smaller version of the bride’s bouquet.
Ushers during the ceremony were Dustin Breaux of Mermentau, cousin of the bride, and Carter Andrus of Eunice, nephew of the bride.
Best man during the ceremony was Devon Vincent of Mermentau Cove, friend of the groom.
Groomsmen included Ronnie Spell of Lyons Point, Christian Guinn of Mermentau, Chance Henry of Mermentau Cove, Steven Richard of Mermentau Cove, Traven Guidry of Mementau, all friends of the groom; Ben Miller of Eunice, godchild of the bride; and Adam Fontenot of Baton Rouge, brother of the bride. All groomsmen wore Michael Kors black classic tuxedos.
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception was held at the St. Thomas More parish social hall.
The couple took a honeymoon trip on the Western Carribean Carnival Cruise, and have made their home in Welsh.
The bride is a graduate of St. Edmund High School and McNeese State University.
The groom is a home schooled graduate.
