LSU adds 23 players to its football roster

LSU added 23 players to its football roster for the 2025 season on Wednesday as the Tigers signed one of the nation’s top recruiting classes. LSU’s signing class was ranked as high as No. 6 nationally by Rivals.com.

Nussmeier leads LSU past Oklahoma in regular-season finale, 37-17

After leaving the game in the second quarter with an injury, quarterback Garrett Nussmeier returned to the field to lead the Tigers past Oklahoma, 37-17, on Saturday night in the regular season finale. Nussmeier finished 22-of-31 for 277 yards passing for three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Lady Bengals off to losing start

The LSU Eunice women’s basketball team is off to a so-so start under first-year head coach Rob Beckmann. The Lady Bengals, who play in Division I in Region 23 of the National Junior College Athletic Association, are off to a 4-4 start.

LSU fails to stop Alabama’s quarterback

Costly mistakes and an inability to stop Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, who rushed for four touchdowns, handed No. 15 LSU its third loss of the season to No. 11 Alabama, 42-13, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

Bengals advance in postseason play

LSU Eunice Men’s Soccer continued its strong late season form with a 2-0 win over Blinn College in the Gulf South District Quarterfinals on Wednesday at the Bengal Soccer Complex.

LSU pulls away from Nicholls in home opener, 44-21

Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier passed for a career-high six touchdowns and 302 yards through the air as No. 18 LSU rolled past Nicholls on Saturday night, 44-21. Nussmeier joined Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels as the only Tiger quarterback to throw six or more touchdown passes in a single game.

Stone earns weekly NJCAA recognition

Eunice Women’s Soccer freshman Gabby Stone has been named the NJCAA Division I National Player of the Week, the organization announced on Wednesday. Stone is the first Women’s Soccer student-athlete to earn Player of the Week honors in program history.

‘Being home is a beautiful thing’

Alyson Habetz was noticeably overwhelmed as she spoke to a standing-room-only crowd Wednesday, Aug. 28,in Crowley. It was the second of a three-night “Meet & Greet” tour for Habetz and members of the Ragin’ Cajun softball team and staff. “It’s so awesome to be with my people,” Habetz said.
