LSUE drops men’s basketball program

LSU Eunice will suspend the Men's Basketball program effective immediately for the upcoming 2023-24 season, the school recently announced on their website.

The body of former LSUE basketball player Everette Jackson was found about 2 miles downstream from where he was last seen tubing on the Payette River. The Gem County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday in a press release that a volunteer located Jackson’s body.

Authorities are searching for a 21-year-old former LSUE basketball player from Lafourche Parish who went missing in an Idaho river near Boise after visiting the state for a trip, according to a report on WDSU’s website.
