LSU to face Louisville in Citrus Bowl

 

BATON ROUGE -- LSU is bowl bound for a school-record 17th straight season as the 20th-ranked Tigers will face 13th-ranked Louisville in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31 in Orlando, Fla.

Kickoff for the Tigers and Cardinals is set for 10 a.m. CT from Camping World Stadium and will be televised nationally on ABC.

LSU brings a 7-4 overall mark into the game as the Tigers won five of their last seven games under new head coach Ed Orgeron.

LOUISIANA, SOUTHERN MISS TO FACE OFF IN NEW ORLEANS BOWL

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana is looking to #PaintNOLARed again.

Louisiana and Southern Miss accepted invitations today to compete in the 16th Annual R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. The game will kick off at 8 p.m. CST and will air on ESPN and ESPN Radio. The meeting between Louisiana and Southern Miss will be the 52nd between the schools and the first since 2008.

Cajuns run past ULM

MONROE – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns are going bowling again.

Playing in a driving rain for nearly the entire game, Trev Miller and Otha Peters each returned a pair of second-quarter fumbles for touchdowns, Elijah McGuire rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown and Stevie Artigue booted three field goal as Louisiana forced five turnovers and defeated ULM, 30-3, in the Sun Belt Conference regular-season finale on Saturday at JPS Field at Malone Stadium.
