Ragin' Cajuns Rise Into Top 20 of Both National Polls LAFAYETTE – On the strength of a 5-0 season-opening weekend, Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Softball made a significant move in the first regular season edition of both the USA Today/NFCA poll and ESPN.com/USA Softball poll.

LSUE to add three sports

LSU Eunice announced it will be adding three more sports to its varsity sports roster. Beginning in the 2018-2019 academic school year, the Bengals will field a men's basketball team as well as men's and women's soccer. The additions bring the total number of varsity athletics to six.

LSUE splits with Crowder

For the fourth double header in a row to open the season, LSU Eunice split games with its oppoments. The top-ranked Lady Bengals exploded for seven runs in the first inning to cruise to a 9-1 win over Crowder Community College in the opener.

Granger jersey holds special honor

It was his dream to play college baseball, but Ross Granger never threw a pitch for LSU Eunice. On April 10, 2015, Granger signed with the Bengals and the left-hander pitcher was just 10 days away from starting his collegiate career before cancer ended his dream of playing college ball.

LSUE on nine-game win streak

LSU Eunice stretched its win streak to nine games as the Bengals cruised past Louisiana College in a 98-62 win. The victory gives LSUE 12 wins on the season, a new single-season best under head coach Amanda Clemons.

Glasco hired as UL softball coach

LAFAYETTE – Gerry Glasco is the new head coach of Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Softball. Glasco coached the previous nine seasons in the Southeastern Conference and is considered one of the nation’s top offensive coaches and recruiters.

Black team captures LSUE Fall Series

It was Koi Westbrook's treat that provided the trick for the Black Magic with a 9-6 Halloween clincher to win Game 5 and the LSU Eunice Fall World Series. The Carencro native blasted a 3-run home run to push the Black comfortably in front of the Golden Goats.
