Three fake $100 bills were passed recently. Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said the bills were passed outside the city limits and reported by someone who wanted to remain anonymous. The clue to the counterfeit bills is obvious: They include a warning “Motion Picture Purposes.

Crime Stoppers, Eunice Police seek public’s help for information about shooting death

St. Landry Crime Stoppers and Detective Jessica Tezeno of the Eunice Police Department are asking the public for help in solving an attempted burglary which led to the death of a Eunice man. Officers responded to the 500 block of Juanita Street in Eunice for a report of shots being fired on Dec. 27.
