Bobcats look to prove themselves

Another test passed. The Eunice Bobcat football team is heading into 2025 with something to prove. After last season’s 2-8 disappointment every practice, scrimmage, jamboree and game is another proving ground to show that the demons of a worst-case 2024 are behind the Bobcats.

Blue Jays reloading for Elton opener

Throughout the offseason, lots of assumptions were made about the state of St. Ed’s football program. Perhaps rightfully so. After all, anytime a school loses as many senior contributors as the Blue Jays did from last season’s Division IV quarterfinal team questions will be asked.

Eunice’s Paul Trosclair earns spot in LHSAA Hall of Fame

The Eunice community celebrated one of its own this week as longtime Bobcat coach Paul Trosclair was honored with his selection to the Louisiana High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026.

Bobcats polish their game in win

The Eunice Bobcats are taking every snap seriously in 2025. As they played last Thursday’s scrimmage against Kaplan, it was clear that head coach Andre Vige wanted to see the same energy and toughness that he’d seen from his team throughout the summer.
Former Eunice High School coach Paul Trosclair was inducted into the 2026 Class of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Hall of Fame. Trosclair was honored at a special program Monday at Eunice High School. Kenny Gennuso, representing the LHSAA Hall of Fame Committee, was present to make the presentation. Driggs focuses on concussions, hydration with high school athletes

Michael Driggs, a physical therapist at Rehab Xcel, has been busy with preseason football season working with St. Edmund High School athletic sports. “We are educating football players about head concussion and staying hydrated,” he said.
