J.C. and Thelma Ledoux of Eunice celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in October. The former Thelma Matt of Eunice married her husband J.C. Ledoux on Oct. 25, 1947 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice with the Rev. Jules Jeanmard officiating.

St. Edmund students in the fourth and fifth grades were recognized for their achievements in the ALEKS Math Program and the System 44 Reading Program.

The 23rd annual Noel on the Prairie Holiday Shopping Spree was held Saturday and Sunday. The Open House was held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday and some businesses were opened from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday.

Turkey is the centerpiece of Thanksgiving dinners. The National Turkey Federation estimates approximately 46 million turkeys are consumed on Thanksgiving each year, followed by 22 million turkeys at Christmastime. Turkey makes a pleasing picture on the dinner table.
