Senior luncheon held monthly at First Baptist Church

Many seniors attend the free Senior Luncheon provided by First Baptist Church every last Thursday of each month. Seniors enjoy Bible devotionals, songs, and door prizes at the Fellowship Hall of the church.

What began as a "crazy idea" among a group of friends has grown into a community tradition that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for children battling cancer.  This year marked the third annual Prom with a Purpose fundraiser, an event created by a group of local women determined to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
