St. Francis students visit Grant Tree Farm

Pre-K and K students from St. Francis School went to the Grant Tree Farm accompanied by their teachers and parents. At the farm children took a ride on a trailer pulled by a tractor to see all the Christmas trees, petted the donkey on the premises, went through a maze, bought a small pumpkin and had the opportunity to paint them. Kyle Huval at Liberty Saturday

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday  at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will feature a performance by Kyle Huval & the Dixie Club Ramblers.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Show starts at 6 p.m.
Admission $5.
Starting at 10 a.m. at the Jean Lafitte, children can participate in arts and crafts, all free of charge.

Celebrate with food safely during the holidays

 BATON ROUGE –  From the moment the Thanksgiving turkey is carved until the clink of champagne glasses on New Year’s Eve, Americans will celebrate the holidays with food.
LSU AgCenter food safety expert Wenqing Xu said it could be tempting to cut corners with food preparation, but she emphasized that holidays are not a time to neglect food safety.

Young Christians honored at St. Edmund

At the end of each grading term, St. Edmund students Pre-k through eighth-grade are recognized for their outstanding character.
