Katlyn Joubert named Eunice High School Student of the Year

Katlyn Ann Joubert, a senior at Eunice High School, is named 2016 Student of the Year. Joubert was named to homecoming court in October and was crowned homecoming queen.

Central Middle School’s Principal R. Landry has announced 2016 Student of the Year is fifth-grader Josi Aminah Lemelle.   Landry added, “Josi is a determined student who exhibits excellent character traits.  She is very ambitious, and ambition will continue to reward her with success.

Rene’ named Student of the Year at Eunice Junior High School

Iniya Frances Rene’ is named the 2016 Eunice Junior High Student of the Year.   She was chosen among nine qualifying candidates. Rene’ is an honor student with a current GPA of 3.8. She is active in all classroom discussions, and is currently co-editor of the schools Yearbook committee.

Young's accordion donated to Cajun French Music Hall of Fame & Museum

The daughters of the late ‘Nonc’ Allie Young of Basile made a donation of his accordion to the Cajun French Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Eunice Thursday.
