Rural broadband funding announced

Thirteen broadband providers in Louisiana will share $342.2 million in federal dollars meant to promote high-speed internet access in areas where it’s not currently available, reported The Center Square.

DOTD announces road work near Church Point

La. 754 (Deanne Highway), 1.1 miles east of its intersection with La. 95, will be closed beginning 7 a.m. Monday until 7 p.m. Friday, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to allow crews to replace the existing drainage structure under the roadway.

Drive-thru COVID-19 testing today There will be a drive-thru COVID 19 testing from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Eunice Health Unit Thursday. The location is at 131 City Ave. For testing, pre-register at health.questdiagnostics.com/stlou. Results will be available online within four to five days.

Business group honors Cloud
