Eunice man arrested for crawfish theft

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents along with Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man for alleged theft of crawfish on April 22. Wildlife agents and deputies arrested Kenneth J. Douget Jr.

2 residences in Eunice raided

Eunice Police and St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies executed search warrants at two locations in Eunice beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot said. The residences were on Townhome Drive and at South Mallet and North Street, he said .

Hazel Johnson

Hazel Johnson passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at the age of 96 . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 26 , 2019, at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. Deacon David Guillory will officiate.
