Rotary golf tourney set Saturday The Eunice Rotary Club will hold a golf tournament Saturday at Koasati Pines at Coushatta Casino in Kinder. The cost is $100 per player or $400 a team. All proceeds goes to the Eunice Community Health Center. Registration and payment deadline is Thursday.

Eunice pipeline company’s IT manager defrauded it of $2.6M

A Duson man pleaded guilty in federal court to a scheme to defraud a Eunice pipeline company out of more than $2.6 million, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook in announcement Wednesday. Richard Walter Borek Jr., 43, of Duson, pleaded guilty before U.S.

Rural tourism leaders air their wish lists

About 50 tourism leaders were queried Tuesday about their ideas on how to improve rural tourism in a meeting attended by Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser at the St. Landry Parish Visitor Center.

Soileau resigns city seat

Dale Soileau, Ward 4 alderman, announced at the end of Tuesday’s Board meeting that he had turned in his resignation on Aug. 3. Soileau said he is moving into his late mother’s house about three miles outside the city limits.

Linton Lartigue passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the age of 78. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Quirk & Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery.
