Acadia Parish school supply drive The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with police departments will be hosting a back to school supply drive. The drive began Wednesday will end Aug. 3.

Patricia Ann Smith

Patricia Ann Smith passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at the age of 84. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017, at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Monsignor Robert Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.

School bus schedules will remain unchanged as the Aug. 9 first day of school nears, but St. Landry Parish School Board members decided to review school bus driver route selection.

St. Landry Parish School Board closing fiscal year in the black

St. Landry Parish School Board finances are projected to end the fiscal year with a $1 million balance on the books, according to Tressa Miller, finance director. Miller provided her projection at a meeting of the School Board’s Finance Committee meeting.
