The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. November 16: James Lanclos, Jr., 20, 1600 block Little Teche Rd., Port Barre. Three counts of theft, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and criminal trespassing.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. Nov. 28 Jessica Dawn Bolton, 30, 1300 block of W. Magnolia, Eunice. DWI, first offense, Reckless operation of a vehicle, and hit and run driving.

Christmas Ball fundraiser set for Dec. 3 St. Mathilda “Women of His Story” (formerly known as Youth Group parents) will host its 12th annual Christmas Ball fundraiser Dec. 3 from 9 until 2 a.m. The festivities will take place at the Bishop Caesar Center on N. MLK Drive.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Eve Benoit announces his passing on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his home at the age of 90. A Celebration of Life was celebrated at 10:00am on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Ardoin's Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice.

Shooting victim in New Orleans said to be from Eunice

One of the people wounded in the Bourbon Street is said to be from Eunice, accoridng to a report by theadvocate.com. The 22-year-old man from Eunice reportedly suffered a shot to the knee. There were 10 victims in the shooting that occurred about 1:30 a.m.

One of Eunice’s hidden jewels: Eunice Career & Technical Education Center

There may be many jewels in Eunice — Liberty Theater, LSUE, the walking trail — but there is one that is so off the  beaten track that most people don’t know it is there. That jewel is the Eunice Career & Technical Education Center at 421 S. 10th St. Don’t expect to see a school at the location.
