Christian group rebuilds house in Church Point

A residence on West Green Alley is being transformed from a rundown residence to one with a new life ahead of it.

Acadia Parish bodies OK remap plan

Two parish government bodies – the Police Jury and the School Board – took less than 20 minutes to agree on a redistricting plan Thursday night that keeps each body’s eight districts identical for another 10 years. Those districts have been identical since the early 1990s.

2 arrested in stabbing

The man and woman involved in a stabbing incident in Eunice face charges, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. At 11:19 p.m. Eunice Police were contacted about a person bleeding out at U.S. 190 and South St. George.
