1 dead, 1 injured in Ville Platte house fire

State Fire Marshal (SFM) deputies continue their investigation into a weekend house fire that claimed the life of one of the home’s residents and injured the other. Shortly after 3 a.m.

Alexandre Clifton “A.C.” Miller, Jr., M.D., born in Eunice, Louisiana on July 2, 1927, passed away on August 2, 2021 at the age of 94. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis celebrant.

Governor renews mask mandate
