Panel designates Office of Broadband to auction 4.9GHz band

BATON ROUGE — The House Commerce Committee advanced a bill Monday that designates the state’s newly created Office of Broadband to oversee the auctioning of parts of the 4.9GHz band in Louisiana.

Petals of Mercy plan Eunice event

A morning of reflection for women is being offered by Petals of Mercy, a Theresian community in Eunice, on May 7. The event will take place in the Jeanmard Hall at 250 N. 3rd St. in Eunice with refreshments from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and the program ending at 11 a.m.
