Petals of Mercy

A morning of reflection for women is being offered by Petals of Mercy, a Theresian community in Eunice, on May 7. The event will take place in the Jeanmard Hall at 250 N. 3rd St. in Eunice with refreshments from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and the program ending at 11 a.m.

Registration for French-immersion school in Sunset

École St. Landry, a public charter school will launch in August for the 2021-2022 school year with capacity for 48 kindergarten students and 48 first grade St. Landry Parish students.

Eunice Players’ Theater ‘Aboveboard’ auditions today

In person auditions for “Aboveboard” written by Peter Bloedel & Emily Kimball will be held at Eunice Players’ Theatre at 2 p.m. today. The theater is looking to cast three men and three women. No experience necessary. The play will be directed by Amy Maricle, Jeanne Eddins, and Sharon Blankenship.

Concert Band, Choir rehearsals

The Eunice Community Concert Band and Choir will begin rehearsals on May 10 for the choir and May for the 11 band for their 31st Anniversary Concert, “Be Our Guest.” Concert dates are July 15 and 16. For more information call 337-457- 1776.

ABC annual golf tourney set

The Acadian Baptist Center will host its 8th annual Golf Tournament beginning at 8:30 a.m. June 5 at the Farm d’Allie Golf Club on 1235 Beau Bassin Rd., in Carencro.

Daily rosary to begin in May

Beginning May 1 and throughout the month of May, Court Eunice 208, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will be praying a daily rosary at 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to join in the rosary garden in front of St. Anthony Church Rectory, located at 310 W. Vine St.

Court Eunice 208 of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m., Monday May 3, at the Jeanmard Hall, at North 3rd Street.

Ice cream man busted in Basile for drugs
