All Acadia Parish employees will return to a 5-day, 8-hour day work week in April. The Acadia Parish Police Jury voted 5-2 Tuesday night to scrap the 4-day, 10-hour plan that had been in effect since 2008.

VFW bingo starts on March 14 The VFW Post 8971 will hold Bingo beginning on March 14. The public is invited each Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. to play Bingo at the VFW Hall located on Hwy. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community. There will be a New game offered.

Council votes to end deputy chief position
