The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. September 5-8 Kameron Jude Comeaux, 33, 100 block of Pawnee Street, Port Barre. Possession of Schedule II CDS (2 counts), possession of Schedule IV CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal parking.

Free COVID-19 testing offered at LSUE

LSU Eunice, in partnership with the Louisiana National Guard, will host free COVID-19 testing on select days through Sept. 23. Those interested are asked to pre-register at DoINeedACovid19Test.com, however, on-site registration is available.

Eunice Police Arrests

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. September 4 William M. Duncan, 21, homeless. Probation warrant. September 5 Jaymonson K. Vallery, 26, 100 block of Doucet Street, Iota. Prior to Aug. 2017-possession of marijuana repealed. Crystal Dawn Ozanne, 25, 2200 block of Jasmine Drive, Opelousas.

John Early Sonnier

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Early Sonnier announces his passing on Thursday, September 3, 2020 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family at the age of 72. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1 p.m.

Douglas Longman Sr.

Douglas C. Longman Sr., age 90, a resident of Maurice and a native of Eunice, died on September 4, 2020. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Beverly Miller Longman and his children, Douglas C. Longman Jr. and his wife Kitty, Stacey Longman Frederick and her husband Thomas J.

Lucius LeDoux Jr.

EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lucius LeDoux, Jr. announces his passing on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Ellington in Rayne at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice.
