Eunice man arrested for Pine Prairie burglary

A Eunice man was arrested in Acadia Parish for a burglary in Pine Prairie. Pine Prairie Police Chief L. C. Deshotel reported contact was made with Brandon Scott Darbonne, 35, of the 6300 block of Eunice Iota Highway, Eunice, on Aug. 28 during a traffic stop.

Stolen ATV recovered, one man arrested

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said a street crime suppression team assisted deputies in nabbing an ATV thief. On Aug. 28, three ATVs being driven without lights were pursued by deputies and the team on Bertrand Road north of Lawtell, he stated.

Rayne-Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at a 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Deacon Daniel Lee Besse, 70, who died Thursday, August 27, 2020 at residence in Rayne surrounded by his family.
