EUNICE-It is with heavy hearts that the children of Murris Vidrine Gorley announce her passing on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at her home at the age of 81. A private graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon Gary Gaudin officiating.

Eunice Police working shooting on East Maple -- 2 wounded

Two juveniles were wounded in a shooting that occurred after 7 p.m. in the 400 block of East Maple, according to Eunice Police Chief Randy Fontenot. One juvenile was taken to a Lafayette hospital and another to Acadian Medical Center, he said.
