Comparing the parish high school LEAP tests

Eunice High School was the second-highest performing St. Landry Parish high school in the 2019 LEAP results. Eunice High School grew its percentage of students scoring mastery or better from 37 to 40 in combined English Language Arts, Mathematics and Social Studies.

Pelican Institute to pitch its reforms

Opelousas man's bust nets pots, $2,000 cash

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies seized marijuana, $2,043 and an AK-47 rifle in a drug bust in the 400 block of Ribbon Road, Opelousas on Monday. St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz identified the arrested man as Brandon Kyle Thibodeaux, 26.
