The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. March 30 – April 1 Muhammad Joubert, 43, 100 block of W. Cheney Street, Opelousas. Theft from Interior of Automobile. Arrested by Opelousas Police Department.

34th annual Worldwide Crawfish Etouffee Cook off winners named

The 34th annual Worldwide Crawfish Etouffee Cook off was held Sunday at the Northwest Pavilion in Eunice. Despite the cooler temperature and windy conditions people came out to sample etouffee, eat boiled crawfish and other foods and refreshments, listen to bands and dance.
