Animal cruelty charged

Following an ongoing investigation, St. Landry Parish Government investigators arrested Khouri Frisch, of 978 Mulberry Road, Opelousas, on 14 counts of simple animal cruelty and one count of aggravated animal cruelty, according to a news release from Jessie Bellard, parish president.

Levans “Black” J. Guidry passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the age of 76. A Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Quirk & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Gaspard officiating. Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
