Norris Joseph Dugas

Norris Joseph Dugas passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018, at the age of 87. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 10:00 AM. at Quirk and Son Funeral Home in Eunice. Burial will follow at Mt. Paul Mausoleum. Deacon David Guillory will officiate.

Rep. John Stefanski to speak at LSU Eunice commencement

State Rep. John Stefanski will be the commencement speaker when Louisiana State University Eunice holds spring graduation ceremonies at 10 a.m. Friday in the gymnasium of the Health and Physical Education Building. Over 200 students are candidates for graduation this spring.

Search warrant yields $25,000 in cash, drugs, pistol

A search warrant served on the morning of May 2 by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Enforcement Team led to the seizure of $25,205 in cash, drugs and a pistol, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz in a news release.
