Crime Stoppers seeks information about Washington burglary

St Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help in locating the suspect involved in a burglary in Washington. On Jan. 12, deputies were dispatched to 4035 Highway 359, Washington, for a burglary of a residence. On Jan. 11, surveillance cameras were able to capture two black male suspects at the home.

Jobless rates decrease, workforce increases

The Tri-Parish employment picture brightened at the end of 2017 as jobless rates were down from a year ago and workforce numbers increased, according to a report from the Louisiana Workforce Commission.

Vincent Sittig passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2018, at the age of 85. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 01, 2018, at 10:00 AM. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. Burial will follow at St. Thomas More Cemetery. Fr. Clinton Sensat will officiate.
