Honoring veterans

Veterans Day was observed at VFW Post 8971 Monday with an outdoors ceremony. VFW Post 8971 Commander Donnie Fontenot was the emcee. Fontenot thanked all veterans for their service. David Crader, American Legion Post 129 commander, was recognized for his service in the military.

Jasen Bourque has pulled the building permit for his planned Fantasies LS Club, but vows “this, by far, is not over.” “I’m just shifting gears right now,” Bourque said Wednesday morning. Bourque said he’s keeping the property on Gumpoint Highway and will be moving a double-wide mobile home onto it.
