Suspect driver identified and charged in a hit and run

Kevin Jermaine Thomas, Sr., 49, Eunice, has been charged with one count of Negligent Homicide, one count of Hit and Run (with death or serious bodily injury), one count of driving while license suspended, one count of passing in a No Passing Zone. No bond information available.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

Man on scooter dies in La. 13 hit-and-run

A 25-year-old Eunice man died after the electric scooter he was driving was struck by a SUV on La. 13 near Townhome Drive in a hit-and-run. Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef said police were dispatched at 5:26 p.m.
