Forgetting our Olympic woes

Bowling didn’t make the cut again. Neither will baseball and softball, ballroom dancing, pole dancing and a host of other sports be featured in the 2024 Summer Olympics games in Paris. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is picky about the sports it chooses.

Center helps the addicted recover

St. Landry schools nearly full staffed

As opening day of school nears, most St. Landry Parish public school jobs are filled, according to a report given the School Board Thursday by Superintendent Milton Batiste.

LEAP scores mostly lower

A majority of St. Landry Parish public schools posted lower scores on the LEAP test in 2024 compared to 2023.
