Sheriff: Victim, his mother argued, the half-brother shot him dead

A argument turned into a fatal shooting on Oct.20, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Thibodeaux Lane in the Cankton area and found one victim with multiple gunshot wounds.

NAUW Breast Cancer Awareness Walk set for Thursday The NAUW Eunice Branch will have a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The walk will begin and end at Chiquita Thomas residence at 621 Opal in Eunice. All survivors, organizations, groups, churches are welcomed.
