Free COVID and flu shots at Food Bank There will be free COVID and flu shots from 9 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the Eunice Food Bank located at 2101 West Ash. Persons ages 12 and up can receive the vaccinations.

Number of employed citizens sets a new record high

Data released Friday by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that Louisiana’s seasonally adjusted employed data has again set a record. The number of seasonally adjusted employed for April 2023 is 2,036,978, a record high for the series.

State Police investigating officer-involved shooting off Perchville Road

The Eunice Police Department requested Troopers to investigate an officer-involved shooting on James Place near Perchville Road in Acadia Parish. One subject was shot and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No officers were injured during the incident. At at about 8:30 p.m.
