During July, August and September, the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office Litter Abatement Crew worked about 18 days each month picking up litter throughout Acadia Parish. The crew picked up 794 bags of trash and 199 tires. They also removed seven discarded sacks of crawfish, a swimming pool, three couches, six mattresses and numerous other items that werethrown alongside parish roads. St. Landry Parish sales tax revenues up 4.7%

St. Landry Parish sales tax revenues through September were up 4.7% compared to the same period in 2021, according to statistics released by the St. Landry Parish School Board tax division. The first nine month total of $67,827,502 is up $3,179,100 over the same period in 2021.
