St. Landry Parish School Board and Parish Council members met Monday at the School Board Resource Center in Opelousas to work on district lines with demographer Mike Hefner. The political lines are shifting after the census showed the parish lost population.

The City of Eunice held its first ever Eunice Main Street “Sip and Stroll,” event Saturday from 2 until 6 p.m.
Many people were able to enjoy festive “sips” provided by Uncorked and Eunice’s local restaurants and bars as they strolled up and down South and North 2nd Street. They were able to visit downtown Eunice merchants as their shops were open, as well as over 25 “Pop Ups shops” of their favorite stores featured along downtown Second Street.
