St. Landry Parish Jail escapee may be headed to Eunice

A 34-year-old Eunice man escaped from the St. Landry Parish Jail at about 9 p.m. Sunday when returning from a work detail and may be headed to Eunice, according to a news release from Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
Ronald Adam McGee was spotted by Opelousas Police in a gully at West Cherry and South streets in Opelousas.
McGee may be heading to his residence at 2021 Dudley Street in Eunice, Guidroz said.
McGee’s last known address is 2041 Fuselier Road, Mamou, he said.
McGee is described as 6 foot two inches tall and weighing 195 lbs.
Guidroz said McGee is not considered armed and dangerous.
He was in jail on theft and burglary charges.
