St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Friday, July 12 Dominique J. Trotter, 20, 1100 block of Pike Avenue, Opelousas. Aggravated assault with a firearm, criminal damage to property.

Sheriff: Relative’s fraud cost elderly woman over $500,000

A Lafayette man is accused of exploiting his aunt and costing more than $500,000, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

Police arrest suspect in Eunice shooting

Eunice Police have charged Joseph Lonnie Andrus, 44, Eunice, with attempted manslaughter in reference to a shooting on Thursday. Police Chief Kyle LeBouef reported that at about 5:30 a.m. police responded to a 911 call in reference to a female being shot on Gaspard Street.

Eunice Police investigate shooting

On July 11, at approximately 5:30 AM, Eunice Police responded to a 911 call in reference to a female being shot on Gaspard Street. Officers arrived on scene and located one female victim with a gunshot wound near a ditch on the premises of a private residence.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Thursday, July 11 Dylan Jon Richard, 30, 400 block of Clinton Drive, Krotz Springs. Simple battery. Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Attempted second-degree murder sought

Crowley Police are seeking assistance with locating Laqualin Scott, 19. Scott is a black male, 5’6” in height, weighing about 120 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His last known address is 301 Aymond St., Eunice. Scott is wanted for attempted second-degree murder.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Tuesday, July 9 Johnathon Voris, 36, 100 block of Mill, Eunice. Bicycle must have a light, resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of Schedule I.
